Will I be able to find a job? It’s regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). It’s a Christian University, not that that matters to a future employer, but I wanted the Christian atmosphere, even if it’s an online degree.
I already have an A.S. in Business Administration from a traditional university, but I wanted the accounting degree, and this was the best fit for me.
I’m worried based on the stuff that I’ve read that I’ll have trouble finding a job after I graduate in a little over a year and a half. I really want to work in the accounting field.
This degree comes from a traditional brick and mortar school that also offers some online programs. It’s also a not for profit, so it’s not like some of the other ones… It’s like going to Dukes online program, same thing. I just fear that I’ll have trouble finding a job even with all I’ve mentioned.
Do you think my future in the accounting field looks hopeful
Thanks guys. It’s a degree from a regionally accredited university. It’s in accounting. It’s from a real brick and mortar…We’ll see what other people say. I already know the school I’m going to, so it’s not a matter of choosing a school. It’s a school in my state that just so happens to offer some online degrees as well as their traditional "on campus" degrees. NCA is the accreditor, so I’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks everyone so far.

Also, are there any jobs for accounting teachers? Would I also be able to teach business since an accounting degree also has business classes?

It may sound retarded but what other work fields can an accounting degree allow you to do excluding accounting/finance jobs like financial analysis?

Does it matter to employers that you have a direct degree in accounting? will they view my degree as an accounting degree? and is it worth it to transfer to another college for a direct degree in accounting, and lose some credits?
thank you but its very important thing to me.

Most people I know major in english, chemistry, journalism, engineering, polisci etc etc. I feel like accounting is something you don’t *need* a degree to get into. Plus I always see advertisements on TV about getting an accounting degree in a short period of time from a CC. Is it a good idea to get a 4 year degree in accounting from a state university? Or is it a waste of education?
Thx for your attention.

I have a 2 year accounting degree from a community college, plus a four year business degree from UCF, how does that measure up to a person with a 4 year accounting degree?
