So, I want a career in Accounting or Finance in the future.
I will be attending an community college in the fall, and I couldn’t find accounting but accounting tech/bookkeeping. Is it the same thing?
Im planning to transfer to get my BS in accounting, so I shouldn’t worry about cc accounting?
Thanks!

I’m limited to only a few business degrees with my school with a major in International business, finance, accounting, marketing, and HR. I will be pursuing my MBA but what degree or training would help benefit me in being a product inventor while being able to link up with all the key ingredients into being a successful firm?

Can community college credits be transferred to out of state colleges and can your major change? I am interested in attending Howard University. I would like to major in General Business and possibly major in Business Management or accounting.

What is the better degree, accounting or supply chain management?
I can’t decide! I’d like to hear from people in both fields: what are the pros and cons of your degree?

How do I find out if Columbia University and Cornell University offer accounting majors? I looked on their websites but it seems like they don’t offer it, but that can’t be possible right?
Obviously some people aren’t genius enough to comprehend the question, let alone answer it properly. MS *cough* *cough*

I am trying to decide what degree is best for having a part time career and being a mom. I’m recently married, and want to start a family in a couple of years. I am through with all of my general ed courses. I am great with numbers, and currently hold a job that deals with some accounting functions.
However, when I have a child and he/she is in school, I will only want to work about 20 or so hours a week.
Is this feasable in the accounting field? Also, will I make decent money for the time I do work?
I’m also open to other ideas. I don’t think I want to be a teacher or in the health field. My husband is supportive regardless of what I do or if I don’t work at all. However, my mother has always told me that it’s nice to have something to fall back on in case of the worst happening.
Thanks everyone for your help!!

Does it hold alot of weight, I know that about 50% of the people working in the accounting field do not have a degree. Would you hire this person?

I noticed that they offer both of those degrees. The Master of Commerce degrees are awarded by the Faculty of Business and Economics of the respective school for the most part. The MBA is always awarded by the Business School of that school. Both degrees are unbelievably expensive.
What is the main difference between these two degrees and how are they regarded? How would employers in the US distinguish between the Master of Commerce from Australia and the MBA from there?
It’s not an MS degree. They call them "Master of Commerce" and those degrees are in general business, not a particular field such as accounting or finance.

I wasn’t sure where to ask this. So I’m planning on getting a business degree and specializing in accounting. I know I have to get my degree and maybe get my Master’s for my state’s CPA exam, but what else can I do to set myself apart in that field? Any organizations or programs I could take part in? I just want to feel and be more involved in the field I’m studying. So any advice at all would be great. Thanks.
